Amy Marberger, CIC

Lancaster Insurance Agent Amy Marberger

Commercial Lines Team Leader

If you’re looking for commercial insurance or farm owners insurance, look no further than Amy Marberger, a respected team leader and insurance agent with more than 20 years of experience.

Amy came to Martin Insurance in 2001 when she was looking for a career change. She knew Liz Martin through a mutual friend and phoned to see if they could meet.

“I told Liz that I was looking and that since she was so connected to keep me in mind if she heard of anyone hiring,” said Amy.

Liz hired Amy and then taught her how to write policies from beginning to end. She’s hands on  from gathering all the information from the client, to getting quotes, doing the proposal with the insured, meeting with the client to do the application and then servicing the account going forward.

She’s a whiz with insurance, and clients respect her because of her honesty.

“If I know a client can save $500 a year by getting coverage through another agency, I will tell them that,” said Amy. “If I can move an account mid-term when a new carrier presents itself to us and I can save a client money, I will move them.”

Her goal is to keep her clients well-protected and happy.

During the years she moved up in the company and presently manages and markets all the commercial and farm business accounts, as well as assists Liz in managing the overall agency.

Her honesty isn’t just respected by her clients, the team admires that trait as well.

Amy believes her work ethic shines because she’s passionate about her career.

“I thoroughly love my job, and 17 years later, I still love sitting at my desk being as productive as I can be,” said Amy.

She’s not only a workhorse, she’s down-to-earth and transparent, too.

“If someone does an ice cream run and says there’s extra, I will not be ashamed of taking a 10-minute break in the conference room while gorging on ice cream!” said Amy.

Amy was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and came to Pennsylvania to attend Millersville University.

She was interested in their athletic department and longed to play field hockey and softball and while majoring in Sociology and minoring in coaching.

Once she graduated she turned Lancaster County into her home and has volunteered as the festival director of the Long’s Park Art & Craft Festival, where she hand-selects artists.

True to the Martin Insurance ethos of giving back to the community, Amy does so from the office in Millersville.  When she’s not at work, Amy enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
